Hello there my beauties 🙂
Long time no see… I know and I’m sorry! I missed my little Mice Blog too, but that’s what happens when you also have a crazy job, a make-up class to attend, a boyfriend, friends you need to meet and a house to renovate :)))
Moving on to our main subject here: the story of the dry shampoo Batiste and my crazy hair!
First of all, I have to tell you some things about my hair and scalp. I have very thin and soft hair, it falls massively and has no texture or volume. After I wash it, it is very dry and frizzy and after 24 hours it’s all flat and greasy at the roots. :((( So you can imagine how hard it is for me to make it look ok-ish… No hair-do hangs more then a couple of hours…not to mention curls or waves that are completely flat after only half-an-hour…
I would normally have to wash my hair every day to keep it good looking… but as you may know, daily-hair-wash is a BIG NO-NO!!!
And that’s how I finally decided to run to the drugstore and get myself a dry shampoo.
It was a major failure! I’m not gonna talk too much about it as I don’t even remember the name. All I can tell you is that my hair was an even bigger mess after I sprayed the product in… It was waaaay to heavy. The ‘powder’ it left behind was highly visible so every time I used it I had to rub my head for a couple of minutes until the powder faded away.
And not to mention I was left with a terrible caught for a couple of hours as the scent of it was very powerful and irritating for my throat – I used to spray it with my windows opened and without inhaling during the operation… CRAAAAA-ZY!
so…. PAST EXPERIENCE with dry shampoo = FAIL FAIL FAIL
NEW BATISTE DRY SHAMPOO = LOVE LOVE LOVE
After I read her post, I did a quick Google search and, I swear, right the next day, I ran to the store and bought myself one cute Batiste dry shampoo! 🙂
I don’t know exactly what attracted me so much about this product but, as I’ve said, the next day the Tropical one was miiiiine!!!
When I got home and wanted to open it I must admit that at first I was reluctant abut it and my expectations were not very high! But I had nothing to lose: it’s pretty cheap, so if it was going to be a major failure, I wasn’t actually going to cry all night after my money :)))
A month has passed and I LOVE IT! I use it almost every time my hair get’s greasy! It’s not a miracle worker as dry-shampoos don’t actually replace the good old bath :))) but my hair doesn’t look oily anymore and I can finally let my hair down for more than 1 day :))) and I also can skip the daily hair-bath! YAY! 😀
It obviously can’t be used forever :)))). You still have to wash your hair from time to time 😛 but it gives you 1 to 2 days (maybe even 3) of non-oily-looking-hair! <3 I really don’t think any of us need more then that!
A lot of girls talked about this dry shampoo on their blogs when it ‘came’ to Romania: here, here, here, here and here so I’m not gonna get into details! Read their posts also, and find out what they think about it, how it works on different hair types and decide for yourselves! 🙂
But I’m telling you: it is really amazing!
- it smells really nice
- the white residue is not a problem as it fades away after you brush your hair
- it even gives your hair a little bit of volume
- it really makes the grease “go away” (I suppose it actually absorbs it – just like the old baby-powder trick :D)
- the scent/vapors are not that irritating – you can actually breath while spraying the product :)))
- really easy to use
- it doesn’t feel like you need to use too much product in order to get good result – or maybe it’s just the fact that I have very thin hair :)))) … dunno…
- very easy to get – you can find it in all Sensiblu drugstores or online
- it is relatively cheap – 23-24 lei if I remember correctly, or something around that amount 😀
So, if you need a dry shampoo, this might be a good start! I’m definitely gonna buy another one when this will run out! 😀 – even though I love this Tropical one, I’m surely gonna try a different ‘flavor’ as they have sooo many to choose from! 🙂
Have you tried Batiste Dry Shampoo? Or any other brand? What do you think and how do you like them?
